In 2023, the European Hockey Championship will be held in Mönchengladbach. In the women's competition, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Spain have already qualified for the European Championship. Celebrating Team Spirit! From August 18 to 27, 2023, the European Men's and Women's Hockey Championships will take place at the Hockeypark in Mönchengladbach. Eight European nations will each compete for the European crown in Germany's largest field hockey stadium. After the 2011 European Championship, the German Hockey Federation is finally hosting a major international field hockey tournament in Germany and Mönchengladbach again after 12 years. Tickets for the event will be on sale from fall 2022.

The groups and match schedules for the 2023 men's and women's EuroHockey Championships, which will be held in Mönchengladbach from August 18-27, have been finalized. The highlight of the European field hockey calendar in 2023 will feature 40 matches between 16 teams, all ranked in the top 20 of the world rankings. Highlights in the schedule from a German perspective are the games between the German women against England on August 20 and the German men against the Netherlands on August 21. 

After 12 years, Germany will welcome a major international hockey tournament to the country with the EuroHockey Championships coming to Mönchengladbach. Tickets for the EuroHockey Championships 2023, which will be held August 18th-27th at SparkassenPark Mönchengladbach, are now available through the tournament website at eurohockey2023.com. Among the highlights for the hosts, the German men will face the Netherlands on August 21st while the German women are up against England on August 20th.
